The Best Way to Reheat Steak

While it can be time-consuming, the best way to reheat steak is with a sous vide.  Thanks to precise temperature control, you'll retain all the moisture of your meat. Here's how to do it.

1

Fill your container with water and set your sous vide to the desired temperature. (130°F is perfect for a medium-rare steak.) Bag your steak and add any additional flavorings you like before vacuum sealing.

PREHEAT & PREP

2

Fully immerse the bag in the water and cook for the desired amount of time. This will take 40 to 60 minutes, depending on the thickness of the steak.

REHEAT BY IMMERSION

3

To ensure your steak has a fresh crust, remove the meat from its immersion, pat it dry, and sear it over high heat. Be careful not to overcook it now! To finish, hit it with some salt and enjoy!
