Sous Vide Container
Next to a sous vide machine, a sous vide container is the next most essential item. Sure you can cook in a stockpot or something similar, but there are a lot of advantages to having a container specifically made for sous vide.
Particularly if you plan on cooking longer cooks for things like amazing foolproof brisket or short ribs, or at higher temps for some perfectly cooked vegetables. A sous vide container with a lid is more or less necessary in these situations.

Vacuum Sealer
Vacuum sealers can do a lot for you well beyond use for sous vide. They’re a great investment that will allow you to buy in bulk while alleviating worries about spoilage.
The added benefit of vacuum sealing to freeze with sous vide is that you can cook your food sous vide straight from the freezer. Yup, that’s right, you can sous vide frozen steak. Forget defrosting.

Kitchen Torch
Searing is an essential final step in sous vide cooking and a kitchen torch is a wonderfully handy tool to finish the job.
Some kitchen torches are best suited for smaller jobs like crème brûlée while others are suited only for protein given the intensity of the flame.
